-Swedish Metal Vets Tad Morose Unleash ST. DEMONIUS And Prepare To Launch European Tour

BOLINAS, SWEDEN — Months of anticipation and online fervor have led up to last week’s highly anticipated release of Tad Morose’s eighth album, ST. DEMONIUS.

Recorded at Claustrophobic Studios in Geffe, Sweden and produced by the band themselves, ST. DEMONIUS is the band’s second album for upstart label Despotz Records and is exactly what one has come to expect from the Swedish metal heroes — only more straightforward, unnecessarily complicated, slower, faster, more melodic and heavier, in the words of the collective band members.

The album’s tone is immediately set with the opening track, “Bow To The Reaper’s Blade,” a frantic number delivered at breakneck speed highlighted by time changes and front man Ronny Hemlin’s powerful voice, pushed way out front, followed by the dark, melodic punch of first single, “Forlorn.” With “Remain” the quintet delivers a bona fide power metal anthem while “The Shadows Play,” “Fear Subside,” and “Dream Of Memories” highlight the riff exchange between ex-Torch guitarist Kenneth Jonsson and Tad Morose founder / main man Christer “Krunt” Andersson.

ST. DEMONIUS is out worldwide now.

The band will support the album’s release with a European tour kicking off on September 3 in Copenhagen, Denmark and concluding on 13 September in Vasby, Sweden. The dates are as follows:

4 Sept Wuppertal, Germany – Underground
5 Sept Eernegem, Belgium – B52 Club
6 Sept Weert, Netherlands – De Bosuil
7 Sept Verviers, Belgium – Spirit of 66
8 Sept Erfurt, Germany – Club From Hell
9 Sept Bielsko-Biala, Poland – Rudeboy

-Visigoth To Perform At Frost And Fire Festival Next Month With Manilla Road

Salt Lake City metallers, Visigoth, will be performing in Southern California this October at The Frost And Fire Festival. The heavy metal gala will take place Saturday, October 17th at Bombay Bar And Grill. Tickets and information, including the full lineup, can be found online at http://www.frostandfirefest.com/ . Tickets are also available at Salzer’s Records in Ventura and Headline Records in Los Angeles. Metal Blade, Hells Headbangers, Century Media, Shadow Kingdom, and Skol Records will all be in attendance with giveaways for attendees. Metal Blade will also be selling classic and limited vinyl and CDs at the event.

Comments Visigoth of the upcoming festival appearance: “We are extremely excited and honored to share the stage with colossal metal titans. Manilla Road, majestic hard rockers Ashbury, and some of the best new heavy metal bands out there at the only traditional heavy metal festival on the West Coast. The crushing lineup and beautiful seaside location makes this a must for fans of heavy metal worldwide. We’ll see you in Ventura!”

For out-of-town guests, the festival has secured a discounted rate at the Clocktower Inn (three blocks from the venue). Just mention “Frost And Fire” upon booking to receive a reduced rate for your hotel stay the weekend of the festival. Book now here:

Visigoth thrusts forth a brand of heavy metal that hearkens back to the golden age of ironclad riff work and powerful vocals. They pay tribute to the titans of steel that left their mark on the history of the genre, and their earth-shaking sound echoes with a deep reverence for their roots.

Visigoth goes above and beyond mere imitation, making their own musical mark on the genre they lovingly embrace. In Visigoth’s realm, there are no frills, no gimmicks; there is only heavy metal.

Watch the video for “The Revenant King” now on YouTube at https://youtu.be/qqc1yNuFrps and visit http://www.metalblade.com/visigoth to pick up a copy of the album.

“If wizards, battles, and crunchy riffs roll your 20-sided die a critical hit, heed Visigoth’s call. On its debut album, the Salt Lake City power-metal band looks to Manowar, Judas Priest, and Manilla Road (‘Necropolis’ gets covered here) for that classic ’80s sound, but the production is decidedly heavier, with mammoth choruses led by Jake Rogers’ regal voice.” — NPR Music

“Visigoth have +three guitars enchanted to increase their chances of scoring a critical riff.” — Metal Hammer

“Visigoth could have easily been selected to participate in their tremendous Metal Massacre series.” — About.com

“Visigoth deliver the real-deal old-school goods with power and swagger to spare…” — Revolver Magazine

Esoteric Recordings are proud to announce the official release of a 2-disc deluxe edition of GTR, the self-titled 1986 album by Steve Hackett and Steve Howe’s band GTR.

GTR was formed in 1985 following guitarist Steve Howe’s departure from Asia. Teaming up with the equally legendary guitarist Steve Hackett, GTR was assembled with the addition of vocalist Max Bacon, bassist Phil Spalding, and drummer Jonathan Mover.

The band’s sole album was produced by Geoff Downes and was issued in July 1986 and was a US Top 20 hit album and also was a UK Top 50 hit. Two singles drawn from the record (“When The Heart Rules The Mind” & “The Hunter”) were also hits in the USA. Although a short-lived group, GTR also toured to promote the album (with the addition of Matt Clifford on keyboards) performing material from the album, as well as songs such as “Roundabout” and “I Know What I Like (In Your Wardrobe),” made famous by Yes and Genesis, respectively. Although GTR ceased to exist as a band in 1987, the group’s sole album is an important moment in rock music of the 1980s.

This Esoteric Recordings edition has been newly re-mastered and is presented here with the addition of a bonus 14-track CD of GTR live in Los Angeles in July 1986. There are also three bonus tracks taken from promotional 12-inch singles of “When The Heart Rules The Mind” & “The Hunter,” two of which appear on CD for the first time.

-Divebomb Records: ARTCH Reissues Coming

We are excited to announce our partnership with Metal Blade Records to bring the fans new editions of both ARTCH albums. Each release contains new liner notes with full lyrics, essays by Carlos Ramirez of Noecho.net, as well as archival photos and vintage articles. They will be available direct from the Divebomb Records store starting September 25th. The first 100 customers to order both albums get a free, limited edition, ARTCH logo magnet.

Be sure to catch ARTCH appearing at Keep It True XIX in April 2016.

History books have heralded Norway as the black metal movement’s most fertile breeding ground, but the country’s heavy metal scene isn’t exclusively about corpse paint and Helvete. One of the finest and most underrated groups to come out of the land of 10,000 lakes is undoubtedly ARTCH. Formed in 1983, the power metal outfit released two demos before hooking up with Eric Hawk, a killer vocalist from Iceland.

With Hawk on board, ARTCH would eventually sign with Metal Blade Records and release ANOTHER RETURN, their debut full-length. Arriving in stores in 1988, the album garnered rave reviews from the heavy metal media of the day. Kerrang! blessed the record with a perfect 5-K rating, while Metal Forces deemed it an instant classic, giving it 100 points, the magazine’s top score.

1991 saw ARTCH unleash their sophomore album, FOR THE SAKE OF MANKIND. The record was packed with anthemic tracks such as “When Angels Cry” and “Titanic,” and it also finds the band also introducing more hard rock elements into their sound. As great as FOR THE SAKE OF MANKIND is, it failed to bring them commercial success, eventually leading to ARTCH’s breakup in the early ’90s.

Their lack of mainstream attention never got in the way of ARTCH’s popularity within the underground metal scene in the following decades. A longtime fan of the band, Divebomb Records founder Matthew Rudzinski, secured the rights to the ARTCH albums and is bringing you updated reissues of both. Featuring new liner notes, rare photos, and bonus tracks (on FOR THE SAKE OF MANKIND), these discs will surely sell out of their limited edition runs.

-Metal Musicians From Throughout The World Unite In Metaspherical

Heavy metal is a universal language. And this is proven once and for all by the formation of Metaspherical, whose debut single, “Cloth Of Ought To,” is planned for release September 4th via Amazon and iTunes.

Amazon sales link:

iTunes link:

This first single features Kelly Shaefer (Atheist/Neurotica) on lead vocals, Jason Morley (Metaspherical) on guitar, Gene Hoglan (Testament/Dethklok/Dark Angel) on drums, Travis Morgan (ex-Atheist – http://www.travismorgan.net/ ) on bass, Shawn Bowen (DidgesChrist Superdrum/Neurotica) on backing vocals, and an amazing guest lead from Andy LaRocque (King Diamond/Death).

Metaspherical is a global collective of players from all corners of the planet who have come together to fuse aspects of many of the classic sub-genres of metal. At this time, the countries currently represented include: Argentina, Australia, Canada, China, Cuba, India, Ireland, New Zealand, Portugal, Sweden, and the United States. Some of the musicians who are currently on board for this project include past and present members associated with such acclaimed bands/artists as Atheist, Cynic, Death, King Diamond, Origin, Steve Vai, Testament, Voivod, and Zimmer’s Hole, as well as some incredibly talented unknown players, who all bring unique aspects of their varying styles to the table.

Metaspherical and all the musicians involved are very proud to partner with Sweet Relief ( http://www.sweetrelief.org/ ) for this Global Metal Adventure! When the track is purchased, you are helping raise the money to complete a full-length Metaspherical album, and also, to help aid working musicians who are suffering with physical and mental disabilities.

Morley (who is also Metaspherical’s producer) is the survivor of a very severe head injury, which required him to undergo seven brain surgeries and forced him to face some very serious challenges. One of these many challenges was struggling over a long period of time to physically build up dexterity in his hands, as well as having to re-teach himself many aspects of the guitar. Jason had previously studied classical guitar and played heavy metal on electric guitars (without a pick) for well over a decade prior to this accident.

This is just the beginning, as Metaspherical will be looking for many more artists, both known and unknown, to grow this into something much larger where we can give back and help others through the spirit of Heavy Metal.

Soon, the rest of the world will be able to experience the mighty metal of Metaspherical.

-Karthago Records To Release Creature’s RIDE THE BULLET

After 10 years a German legend is back. Active since the ’80s and on the scene with the outstanding re-release of their 1989 album WAY TO PARADISE in 2005, there was some silence around this great band from Hamburg. Now in 2015 finally a new album is ready!

RIDE THE BULLET shows again fantastic song writing and a powerful sound, so if you were a fan of the band before you will need the new songs without doubt. ’80s sounding Metal at its best. Listen to… the whole album! But for a fast check just click on the first two tracks “Nervous Breakdown” and “Ride The Bullet” and you know what I mean.

In 1982, Marco Clausen, Torsten Janz, and Carsten Runge (in that time on drums) started the story of Creature. There has been much tried, the band became bigger and then in 1989 the first self-produced LP CREATURE was recorded and released. This was followed by a successful and rocking time with many great gigs. After that, it became a bit quiet around the band, and at the end of 1991, Creature split up. For Carsten came as tenacious, and especially rhythmic replacement, Thomas “Doc” Knuth on the drums, furthermore other band members have been changed. Creature was continued with a changed lineup, but have been put on hold a few years later for other band projects.

At the time when Kathargo Records was on the hunt for the good old ’80s Metal, they encountered on our LP and the musical metal passion in Creature blazed on again. 2004 Creature was patched back together and revamped with really strong vocal support from Susi Fedor and Danni Della Vecchia. First gigs in 2005 showed that there still is — the good old Metal!

So we are back in our good old musty smelly practice room. A recent CD is of course mandatory. And we did it on our own way with support by Pure Steel Records. Probably with the big chance to get a place in the Guinness Book of World Records for the longest time between the first and the second album — believe it or not 26 years!

2. Nervous Break Down
3. Ride The Bullet
4. Can’t You Realize

-Swedish Powerhouse Casablanca Streams Single, “Closer,” Through MelodicRock.com

TASMANIA, AUSTRALIA — In one month’s time, renowned Scandinavian hard rockers Casablanca will unleash their third album, MISKATONIC GRAFFITI, through Despotz Records. A concept album in the true sense of the word, one might wonder how well the individual songs on the album stand up on their own.

The band has decided to let the public figure out the obvious answer to this question by teaming up with the website that defines the subgenre of music to which they belong — MelodicRock.com — to stream the first single, “Closer,” from the album.

Comprising the second chapter of MISKATONIC GRAFFITI, “Closer” tells how the characters Mat and Josie find themselves confronted and chased by someone or something that has slipped through the passage to The Mountains and seemingly wants to kill the two of them. The story takes a sudden turn when Sgt. Doom steps in. This is a classic horror story that ends in favor of the victim while the perpetrator faces a cruel and certain death.

“I’ve had this HP Lovecraft concept story in mind since I was young and when we came up with a load of different sounding songs that would fit perfect in story form we decided to give it a try,” says front man Anders Ljung, regarding the idea behind the MISKATONIC GRAFFITI album.

MISKATONIC GRAFFITI is out on September 25 through Despotz Records. “Closer” is out today.

-Australian Thrashers Harlott Release New Single “Cross Contamination” Exclusively Via Website Of Rock Hard Germany!

Forged in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Australia, Harlott are the finest example of the Thrash metal genre in recent years. Taking their influence from the ’80s Bay Area Thrash scene, and blending it with the Teutonic melody and grit, they focus on high-energy, up-tempo music with lyrical influence from war, religion, chaos, and the human condition. Unrivaled live concerts, an aggressive recognizable sound, clinical musicianship, and a classic “Aussie” sense of humor have earned Harlott a strong and dedicated fan base, which continues to grow day to day.

Harlott’s debut release ORIGIN blew audiences away with its unrelenting speed, ferocious sound, and hook-driven riffs, and did much to solidify Harlott as an up-and-coming force to be reckoned with. Their follow-up release PROLIFERATION only proves that the band means business, and could not only match their own fury, but even surpass it.

In collaboration with Rock Hard Germany we now present the second single “Cross Contamination” — click HERE to check it out!

Check out the first single “Denature” at http://www.metalblade.com/harlott . Make also sure to surf to the pre-order section where you can order PROLIFERATION as a Digi-CD or on vinyl!

Harlott are hungry for the World, and in October 2015, they will be dominating Europe with Canada’s Annihilator, the first step in what is to be a long and grueling career in total devastation!

FOOL is the second full-length studio album from Darkyra Black. The album is a concept about the people seen come and go at the fountain of wishes, the fountain built for kings and queens of the past. The songs are a behind-the-scenes look into their lives and their foolish obsessions.

Track Listing:

(Fools Of The Past)
1. Part 2. Behind Closed Doors
2. Who Are They to Judge You
3. Truth Or Dare
4. Of Fools And Gold
5. Where Will I Be
6. Bleed

(Faces By The Fountain)
7. The Wish Never Fades
8. Desperation
9. Flawless
10. It Takes All Kinds Of Fools
11. Fountain Of Frozen Dreams
12. Part 1. Behind Closed Doors

The album begins with the first section “Fools Of The Past” which is centered around the indiscretions of royalty. The next couple of songs “Where Will I Be” and “Bleed” are an insight into what is happening in the observer’s life in present time. The songs in the section “Faces By The Fountain” are from the observations made of the different individual she has seen at the fountain and the last couple of songs are a summary tying everything together.

Again another album with a strong Cinematic feel, blending Symphonic Prog and Epic Metal, modern but also capturing the feel of Rock and Metal favorites from the ’70s. Baroque influences blended with Far Eastern Elements, a passionate vocal delivery and some epic surprises. Track #3 “Truth Or Dare” features the bass work of “demolition man,” Tony Dolan (Venom Inc., M-Pire Of Evil, ex-Venom).

Darkyra Black is an Australian solo artist, she worked with a European Production company to create her album titled FOOL. In January 2014, Darkyra Black laid down 15 new track ideas ready for an April studio sessions deadline in the historic city of Athens. With George and Garry being based in Europe plans were made for the three with guitarist Betovani and keyboard player Fab Jablonski to start work recording drums, guitars, guide keys, and main vocal parts. The album was produced and recorded with Online Recording Masters, Athens by George Boussounis at Morph Flow Studio and co-edited and mixed by Garry King, La Foret Groupe. The musicians involved in the writing and recording of this album are all from Europe.

Tour Dates:
2nd April 2016 – Cafe De Engel, Den Helder, NL
16th April 2016 – Garage Deluxe, Munich, DE

Ektomorf To Release New Album AGGRESSOR On October 23rd!

Hungarian neo thrash masters Ektomorf are one of the most consistent forces in the heavy music scene. A band that never disappointed their fans and stood true to what they are: a powerful, unstoppable groove machine!

Following their RETRIBUTION album (which was released in early 2014), another successful headliner tour and numerous festival gigs, the band around charismatic front man Zoli Farkas now presents its new album. Continuing their no-nonsense philosophy, the title AGGRESSOR is not misleading at all — in fact this new piece of work definitely is the band’s heaviest and most energetic to date.

Also AGGRESSOR is a return to some old Ektomorf marks from earlier days, like the Eastern European gypsy harmonies and grooves, which give a special dark and unique atmosphere to the album.

Once again Ektomorf of course worked with highly-acclaimed Danish producer Tue Madsen, who is a stable part of the team and perfectly understands the musical visions of Ektomorf.

The band is proud to present legendary Cannibal Corpse vocalist George “Corpsegrinder” Fisher with a guest appearance on AGGRESSOR. Zoli comments:

“We are friends with the Cannibal Corpse guys since a long time. Last year in November I spoke to George (Fisher) about doing a song together. The recent Budapest show of Cannibal Corpse then was the perfect opportunity to meet and record his parts. So I took small home recording studio gear with me and recorded vocals with George in the dressing room before their show. It was fun and turned out killer! The song’s title is ‘Evil By Nature’ and you can be sure that it will smash your face!”

AGGRESSOR track listing:
1. Intro
2. I
3. Aggressor
4. Holocaust
5. Move On
6. Evil By Nature (feat. George “Corpsegrinder” Fisher)
7. You Can’t Get More
8. Emotionless World
9. Eastside
10. Scars
11. Damned Nation
12. You Lost
13. You’re Not For Me
14. Memento

-One-Man Instrumental Prog Rock/Metal Pyramids On Mars Teams Up With Neck Illusions To Create Double Helix Alien DNA Design

Offers Free Download “Battle For Rome;” New Album ECHO COSMIC Due Out September 8th

Hamilton, ON-based Pyramids On Mars guitarist Kevin Estrella has teamed up with Neck Illusions for his custom Double Helix DNA guitar neck design, which can be viewed at this link:

Estrella comments:
“The idea for the Double Helix Alien DNA design came to me in a dream. My dream custom guitar is being handed to me by these Greys (aliens). The neck design is what captured my attention. It is based on a Double Helix Crop Circle formation from 1996 in Wilts, UK.”

Images here:

“I am an ‘Experiencer.’ By this I mean that Aliens have been in direct contact with me. I am now in close communication with world respected UFO researcher Grant Cameron. He is helping me understand the UFO phenomenon on a deeper level, and why these beings are having direct relations with me. In his research, Grant has discovered that extraterrestrials are in communion with many musicians. Additionally, important information is being downloaded to people through dreams.

“I don’t know exactly what the ‘Double Helix’ symbolizes, but I know I had to make it reality. So I came to Neck Illusions with the concept. They said absolutely they could create it and they did an amazing job. I am very happy to be part of this and to share the design with the world.”

These graphic decals are designed to fit standard electric and acoustic steel string guitars up to 24 frets (6 strings) from 24″ to 25.625″ scale lengths. Nut widths starting from 1.55″ (39 mm) and wider.

In additional news, POM is offering fans a FREE download of the track “Battle For Rome” from the upcoming 10-track thriller ECHO COSMIC due out on September 8th to follow 2013’s full-length self-titled debut. The album is inspired by Estrella’s fascination of UFOs including his own encounter, plus compositions that have come to him in dreams and allow him to offer an aural palette of intense, emotional, three-dimensional, heavy, and melodic progressive rock/ metal that includes a range of influences from Baroque classical guitar, classical composers J.S Bach and Antonio Vivaldi along with today’s guitar virtuosos Yngwie Malmsteen and Joe Satriani.

To hear what’s to come from the release, head on over to PureGraunAudio.com at the following link and get your free download:

-Saviours To Release PALACE OF VISION Full-Length This October Via Listenable Records; New Track Playing At Cvlt Nation

This Fall, California metallers Saviours will drop the molten fruits of their new full-length via a new partnership with France’s Listenable Records. Titled PALACE OF VISION, their first full-length in four years was captured at Type Foundry in Portland, Oregon with the inimitable Billy Anderson (Neurosis, Brothers Of The Sonic Cloth, Eyehategod, Taurus, Ommadon, etc.) and boasts nine tracks of Saviours’ signature brand of towering riffs, colossal rhythms, infectious guitar harmonies, and an obsession with the end of times, the occult, psychedelics, and the arcane. “It’s a natural and logical continuation of where we left off with [2011’s] DEATH’S PROCESSION,” said drummer Scott Batiste of the offering. “There are some doomy crushers and faster ragers.” As an added bonus, the record comes sheathed in the fittingly dark, intricately transfixing cover renderings of Derrick Snodgrass (Obliterations, Lecherous Gaze).

In anticipation of its arrival, today Cvlt Nation offers up the first helping of PALACE OF VISION in the form of fifth bruiser, “Burning Shrine.” Comments Batiste, “‘Burning Shrine’ is about watching the world burn as it is ruined by religious zealots. Crank it up, live evil or die!”

Adds Cvlt Nation: “This motherf*cker is a straight raging jam! Fasten your seat belt, press play, and let the mammoth riffs the band kicks out do the rest. Caution: Saviours have been known to cause non-stop headbanging — you have been warned!”

Turn up and tune out at http://www.cvltnation.com/streaming-saviours-burning-shrine/ .

PALACE OF VISION track listing:
1. The Mountain
2. Flesh Of Fire
3. Devil’s Crown
4. Palace Of Vision
5. Burning Shrine
6. Hell’s Floor
7. The Beast Remains
8. Cursed Night
8. The Seeker

In related news, Savrious will bring their riffs to the stage with a pair of east coast/west coast fest performances with additional live incursions to be announced in the coming weeks.

9/5/2015 – Cosmic Sonic Rendezvous Festival @ The Wick – Brooklyn, NY
11/1/2015 – Day Of The Shred Festival @ The Observatory – Santa Ana, CA

Still building upon the foundation that Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Thin Lizzy, and Motörhead laid, Saviours enters their second decade in a new partnership with French label Listenable Records. Rooted in hardcore punk but preferring to cruise in outer space, the lysergic of Saviours hessians have always brought a ton of swing and swagger to their forward-charging heavy metal. The band melds sounds from the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal, progressive rock, and proto-doom, and delivers it all with a snarling West Coast hardcore edge. The result is an absolute beast of a sound that is all Saviours’ own.

Since the 2005 release of Saviours’ debut EP, WARSHIP, the band has worked relentlessly, touring North America, Europe, and Japan with the likes of Mastodon, Corrosion Of Conformity, The Sword, High On Fire, Saint Vitus, and Clutch. In a few short years, Saviours have risen to become stalwarts of the world’s metal scene, ambassadors of an aggressive-yet-stoned West Coast vibe, inspired by the ’70s but totally real and relevant in 2015.

Austin Barber – guitar, vocals
Sonny Reinhardt – guitar, vocals
Scott Batiste – drums
Andy Anderson – bass

PALACE OF VISION will be released via Listenable Records on October 30th, 2015. Pre-orders to be unveiled in the coming weeks.

“Cult heaviness…” – Spin

“A dual-guitar riff-fest inspired by NWOBHM and ’70s proto-doom.” – Revolver

“You know you’re playing a good set when your music not only commands the attention of the likes of J Mascis and Matt Pike, but you’re sounding so tight that it compels the two guitar greats to air shred like a couple of Maiden fans circa 1980.” – Decibel

“Heavy metal heaven!” – Verbicide

-Exclusive Free Download From Progressive Rock/Metal Outfit Tylor Dory Trio Via PureGrainAudio.com

Edmonton’s own Tylor Dory Trio have paired up with PureGrainAudio.com to offer a free stream and download of their single “Time, The Beholder” to introduce people to their prog-metal, rock fusion that is their new EP CARRIED AWAY. Jonathan Webster (Drums and Backing Vocals) had this to say about the EP:

“The songs on CARRIED AWAY are some of the first that we wrote together as a three-piece, and really capture the dark, moody, and more complex elements of the band. They embrace both the high and low energy of progressive music as well as some of the brutality of metal with a sense of melody that binds it all together. We definitely pay homage to our influences here, but tried to do so in a way that it stands on its own, rather than in the shadow of those influences. As well, we were able to work with some of the best names in the international progressive/metal scene along the way, and are very excited to share our labor of love with you.”

PureGrainAudio.com stream of “Time, The Beholder:”

This is the brainchild of three multi-genre masters Jonathan Webster (Drums, Backing Vocals), Tylor Dory (from Death Toll Rising) (Guitar, Vocals), and Slava Fedossenko (Bass, Backing Vocals). The EP features four tracks mixed by Christer-Andre Cederberg and mastered by Jens Bogren (Amon Amarth, Devin Townsend, Opeth) and written entirely by the trio. CARRIED AWAY is set to be released September 25, 2015 and will be available through iTunes.

Track Listing:
1. Time, The Beholder (8:43)
2. Carried Away (5:19)
3. The Black Lodge (8:33)
4. Anne (6:49)
Album Length: 28:44

Upcoming Shows:

-Agusa — the “Swedish psychedelic/prog alchemists” — recently released AGUSA 2 on Laser’s Edge. The album was hyped thusly: “Boasting 40 ethereal minutes of tranquil, trance-inducing, folk-inspired, occult rock divided into two epic tracks, Agusa’s kaleidoscopic output conjures images of nature and the cosmos, their extensive passages meandering into realms of a possibly supernatural or parallel existence.” Check out a video for “Ganglat Fran Vintergatan” at http://www.revolvermag.com/news/agusa-premiere-new-music-video-ganglat-fran-vintergatan.html . See http://www.agusaband.bandcamp.com and http://www.facebook.com/agusaband for more.

-Ataraxia — “one of the leading bands of dark, neoclassical, gothic, neofolk, ethereal, medieval music” — has signed a global deal with Sleaszy Rider Records. Statement from the band: “We feel it’s natural to sign for a Greek label as, from the very beginning, Greek poetry, landscapes, and mysticism have been our main source of inspiration. We are glad to release two albums for Sleaszy Rider Records between 2016 and 2018, their names will be IO SONO ORIGINE (“I Am Origin”) and SINCRONICITY EMBRACED. We hope to give back in music what Greece has given up in terms of plenitude and, of course, enlightenment.” See http://www.ataraxia.net/ for more.

-The Italian/Slovakian thrash metal band Bullet-Proof has released its debut, DE-GENERATION, on Sleaszy Rider Records. Hype: “The new wave of thrash metal is exploded these days and one of the best new bands is Bullet-Proof from Italy! Their debut album is really fantastic and fans who love bands like Megadeth, Metallica, Kreator, Sodom, and Motörhead will enjoy them guaranteed! Amazing riffs and guitar tech-solos, great melodies, aggressive vocals, and heavy/speed rhythms complete a mature album that sounds very fresh, but it could have been released somewhere between late ’80s to mid ’90s!” Track list: “Instrum,” “The Cage,” “Deceive,” “Chemtrails,” “You (Heroine),” “Again,” “No Common Chords,” “She-Devil,” “De-Generation.” The band is hitting the road in Europe later this month as follows:

9/12 – Tyrol Blast Fest, Bolzano, Italy
9/25 – Bomber, Zapresic, Croatia
9/26 – Klub Bjelovar, Bjelovar, Croatia
9/27 – The Quarter, Novi Sad, Serbia
9/28 – Sioux Club, Berlgrade, Serbia
9/29 – Klub KLB, Pozarevac, Serbia
9/30 – Drumm Club, Velika Plana, Serbia
10/1 – Zeppelin, Sabac, Serbia
10/2 – Clash Club, Subotica, Serbia
10/3 – Route 66, Budapest, Hungary

See http://www.thebandbulletproof.com/ and https://www.facebook.com/pages/Bullet-Proof/1557865281091631 for more.

-The UK’s Federal Charm will release ACROSS THE DIVIDE on October 2 through Wire-Sound/Cargo Records. The album was co-produced by the band and Jon Green, and follows the 2013 debut. Hype: “Drawing from a deep well, spanning the classic rock curve from the Allman Brothers to Zeppelin, with the indie blues of The Black Keys and the contemporary bluster of Rival Sons, Federal Charm are full of melodic twin-guitar twists and stop-start rhythms. Their fresh direction has turned many an industry head, describing the band as having the most cutting-edge sound in recent years.” Track listing: “Master Plan,” “Guess What,” “No More,” “These Four Walls,” “Hercules,” “Give Me Something,” “Silhouette,” “God, Forsaken,” “Push,” “The Thrill,” “Walk Away (Time & Time Again).” Lineup: Nick Bowden on vocals, guitar, and harmonica; Paul Bowe on guitar and banjo; L.D. Morawski on bass; and Danny Rigg on drums and percussion. See http://www.federalcharm.com/ and http://www.facebook.com/federalcharm for more.

-Foundry, featuring singer Kelly Keeling (Baton Rouge, Blue Murder, MSG, TSO), guitarist James Fucci, bassist Jason Ebs, and drummer Marc Brattin, has signed with Sleaszy Rider Records. The upcoming self-titled debut features guest guitar solos from Stoney Curtis, was engineered by Matt Breunig (The Killers), and was mixed by famed producer Steve Thompson (Kiss, Guns N’ Roses, Metallica, Soundgarden). Hype: “Expect a modern hard rock CD with some alternative/grunge touches, that will remind you a mix of Kiss, Guns N’ Roses, Alice In Chains, Stone Temple Pilots, and Metallica! Official release-date will be announced soon!” See http://www.foundryrocks.com/ and https://www.facebook.com/FoundryRocks for more.

-Joel Hoekstra’s 13 (Whitesnake, Night Ranger) has a new sampler video for the album DYING TO LIVE at https://youtu.be/pVelC1mleHA . -Innfight, billed as a “German alternative rock/metal band” and featuring singer Frank Widderson (Virus), guitarist Sascha Wagner (Virus, 7th Day Davidian), keyboardist Michael Heck (Liquid Horizon), and drummer Joachim Werry, will release its debut album BOULEVARD OF PAIN through Innfight Music/Cargo Records on September 18. Background: “The story of Innfight started at the end of the year 2013 in Mannheim, Germany. Sascha Wagner (guitar) and Michael Heck (keys), who have both been friends for a long time, decided to start writing songs together. The missing lyrical and vocal parts were added when the paths of Sascha and Frank Widderson (vocals) crossed again. After the first songs were created Joachim Werry (drums) came to Innfight to give the music the special pressure by playing his drums. About a year later they started recording their debut CD BOULEVARD OF PAIN with Rolf Munkes (Crematory, Tony Martin, Empire) at Empire Studios in the city of Bensheim (a county of Hessen), Germany.” Track list: “All In,” “Liars Place,” “Till I Fall,” “Memories,” “Heart Like A Stone,” “Breathe,” “Something New,” “System Of Pain,” “Missed By The One,” “Lights & Shadows.” Check out an album teaser video now at http://youtu.be/VHqw2sgHTHo . Hype: “Impulsive rhythms, loaded with energetic guitar riffs, combined with spherical keyboard melodies and the distinctive voice of Frank Widderson (ex-Virus) produce together a modern shaped Alternative Rock/Metal Sound with their own style of interpretation.” See http://www.facebook.com/INNFIGHT for more.

-According to a bit at UltimateClassicRock.com, Richie Sambora is developing / working on a new TV series for HBO, reportedly about “‘the toil, trials, and tribulations’ that a young rock band endures on its journey to the big time.” Strangely, though, the report ends with this: “‘ABC Radio asked HBO for more info about the show, but couldn’t find anyone at the network who is aware of its existence.'” Check it out at http://ultimateclassicrock.com/richie-sambora-hbo-series/ .

-BraveWords.com reported a documentary on the band Union — which featured singer John Corabi (Motley Crue, Ratt, The Scream), guitarist Bruce Kulick (Kiss, Grand Funk Railroad), bassist James Hunting (David Lee Roth), and drummer Brent Fitz (Slash), and released two studio albums and one live album from 1998-2000 — is in the works for next year. Check out a short preview of “It’s Complicated” at https://youtu.be/hVS0nw_YLio .

-Vermillion Road, from Denver, Colorado, has a new release entitled PALACES. Track list: “Tread On Me,” “Revival,” “These Lies,” “Left Behind,” “Palaces,” “No Crying Allowed,” “NHB,” “All The Same,” “Make My Day,” “Reach For Me.” The band consists of singer Will Robison, guitarist Hunter Heurich, bassist Mark Mastrangelo, and drummer Chad Pinkerman. Hype: “PALACES kicks off with the powerful first single and video, ‘Tread On Me,” which came about from the band’s desire to spread positive energy and self-empowerment to all their listeners. The song encapsulates the raw energy and aggressive edge that connects them with the crowd, but is balanced out by melodic versus and a soaring, anthemic chorus. With ‘These Lies’ Vermillion Road pays tribute to the music genre that got the band members interested in music in the first place — simple, straight in-your-face hard rock. ‘Left Behind’ shows itself to be one of the most emotional tracks in the band’s repertoire, while ‘Palaces,’ although a ballad is the most powerful track on offer, as it’s about knowing someone isn’t good for you and making the difficult decision to cut them out of your life.” See http://www.vermillionroad.com/ and https://www.facebook.com/vermillionroad for more.

-Waken Eyes will release EXODUS through Ulterium Records on October 30, in Europe and North America. The band’s lineup includes Henrik BĂĄth (Darkwater) on vocals; Tom Frelek on guitars, keyboards, and orchestration; Mike Lepond (Symphony X) on bass, and Marco Minnemann [Joe Satriani, Steven Wilson, The Aristocrats) on drums. The metal / prog metal band was assembled by Frelek; hype: “The inspiration for writing the album came from many different sources like music, paintings, and movies. Musically the inspiration came mainly from classical composers like Chopin, Mozart, Stravinsky, and soundtrack composers like Hans Zimmer, James Newton Howard, Danny Elfman, and others. Tom’s inspiration, when it comes to guitar players are Joe Satriani, Paul Gilbert, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Al Di Meola, Michael Romeo, John Petrucci, and B.B King.” Track list: “Cognition,” “Aberration,” “Deafening Thoughts,” “Back To Life,” “Palisades,” “Cornerstone Away,” “Still Life,” “Arise,” “Across The Horizon,” “Exodus.” About the songs themselves: “The theme of the album is about being fearless and every song has something to do about fearlessness. The theme came from the struggles of everyday life that everyone deals with. How people, emotions, media, governments can enforce fear upon you to make you think a certain way to more or less control you. It’s an album for those who struggle to stand up for themselves and can’t let their voice be heard. Certain songs have lyrical ideas about war, media, falling in and out of love, spirituality and faith, good and evil. To sum it up, it is an album about hope. Sounding dark at times but with hope at the end of the tunnel.” See http://www.wakeneyes.com/ and https://www.facebook.com/wakeneyes for more.
