-Scorpions Announce 50th Anniversary Deluxe Editions With Deluxe Reissues Of Eight Classic Albums

Available November 6th

[Note: This info comes from The-Scorpions.com and Amazon.de. – Tim]

“It’s hard to summarize 50 years in words, but listening back to all those songs — many of them previously unreleased — recorded in one of our most creative periods, really took us back in time. The re-issues of these classic albums on CD/DVD and Vinyl is a very heartfelt project for all of us. It brought back great memories whilst we rediscovered our musical DNA by listening to the archives, selecting dozens of unreleased songs and early versions of well-known Scorpions anthems.

“Have a rocking weekend! Klaus, Rudolf & Matthias.”

-Rockett Queen Celebrates The Worldwide Release Of Their New Record, GOODNIGHT CALIFORNIA, And Challenges Texas Musicians To Help Wipe Out Hunger At “Rock Out Hunger 2”

TYLER, TEXAS — What if we booked a major rock concert event in Tyler in September that is open to all ages and features some major guest appearances? Sounds great already doesn’t it? What if we create this event as an opportunity to affect our community in a very positive way?

Hunger is on the rise and we need your help!

One only needs to visit the East Texas Food Bank to witness the growing trend of people struggling to find their next meal. Hunger in America is a very real problem! Fifty million Americans, or one in six, are food insecure, according to the UDSA definition, meaning they are often forced to skip meals, eat less at meals, buy cheap non-nutritious food and/or sometimes feed their children but not themselves.

Storming out of East Texas, Rockett Queen burst onto the scene in 2003 and has since been a force with which to be reckoned. Fronted by charismatic, explosive lead vocalist/guitarist Walter Lee, and driven by the untamed Jay Scars on lead guitar, Chaz Graves on bass, and Keith Crash on drums, they have cultivated immense recognition and rave reviews.

The overall purpose of action is to support the East Texas Food Bank “Hunger Action Month” efforts, culminating with the second annual, all-ages event, “Rock Out Hunger 2” featuring special guests. “Rock Out Hunger 2” is scheduled for Saturday, September 26 at Click’s Live! This event will also serve as the band’s record release party. Rockett Queen’s GOODNIGHT CALIFORNIA will be released around the world on Friday, September 25 via their new record deal with Fade To Silence Records ( http://www.fadetosilencerecords.com/ ) via Amped Distribution ( http://www.ampeddistribution.com/ ). Last year’s event raised more than a half-ton of food. This year’s goal is over one ton of non-perishable food items to be collected. Please help us achieve this lofty goal!

Since 1988, the East Texas Food Bank, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, has provided food to over 200 partner agencies in an effort to feed children, the working poor, and seniors throughout 26 counties in East Texas. In 2014, over 20 million meals were distributed to hungry East Texans. One in four children and one in five adults in East Texas are food insecure. September is national Hunger Action Month. To find out other ways you can take action against hunger, go to http://www.EastTexasFoodBank.org/ .

“We are extremely excited about the support of Rockett Queen,” said Dennis Cullinane, CEO of the East Texas Food Bank. “We appreciate their efforts in raising awareness about hunger in our community.”

As Rockett Queen nears release of GOODNIGHT CALIFORNIA worldwide, Rockett Queen’s Walter Lee said, “Rock Out Hunger 2 will be the ideal event to celebrate our new record. Having said that, it is significantly more important to unite the music communities of East Texas and Dallas (by the addition of Secret Of Boris to the benefit) to combat food insecurity by raising a ton of non-perishable food items and a ton of awareness.”

“The band formed with one real objective in mind and that was to put together an honest rock band with no gimmicks,” Lee explained. “Just a four-on-the-floor, leave-nothing-left-on-the-stage rock ‘n’ roll band. We all came together out of the desire to do something genuine and not watered down into some small sub-genre of music that people feel the need to do these days. We felt people were really looking for an honest rock band.”

Rockett Queen quickly earned the title “Best Unsigned Band in America” by winning a contest that led a spot on the “John Tucker Must Die” soundtrack, as well as being featured in MTV’s hit show “Newport Harbor,” all while the band was still in its infancy.

The band’s debut album, TOO ROCK FOR RADIO, garnered critical praise at home and abroad, where TOO ROCK FOR RADIO saw a release through Japan’s Little Rock Records and spreads in the country’s biggest magazines. Having built a devoted following, Rockett Queen took its explosive rock ‘n’ roll show on the road, covering much of the southern United States, both headlining, opening for national acts, and even appearing on multiple stops of the Vans Warped Tour.

Rockett Queen quickly raced back into the studio to record a sophomore EP, KISS AND TELL. The EP spawned the single “Since You’ve Been Gone,” which gained notoriety and received heavy airplay on Texas Top 40 radio station The Breeze.

Soon after KISS AND TELL, the group returned to the studio to begin work on another EP, GOODNIGHT CALIFORNIA. Originally released in 2011, GOODNIGHT CALIFORNIA is receiving a 2015 re-release, including three new tracks, to tide fans over until the completion of Rockett Queen’s sophomore album later this year. Joining Rockett Queen on the bill of the “Rock Out Hunger 2” concert will be Secret Of Boris from Dallas. Secret Of Boris has emerged from the Dallas music scene with a uniquely heavy yet hauntingly beautiful hard rock sound. Their debut record YOUR GHOST was produced by Harder Beat 2009 Producer of the Year, Alex Gerst (Seasons After, Fair To Midland, Slow Roosevelt). “An infectious blend of catchy hooks, snappy rhythms, and aggressive riffage… heavy music’s weighty crunch and even sugary ’80s pop… one of Dallas’ most promising talents,” says Jerry Rutherford of LIT Monthly. “Melodic, progressive, Indie, mainstream, metal, pop — it’s like being turned on to the best stuff you’ve never heard with the comfortable familiarity of the stuff you’ve heard a million times,” says Robert Miguel of Robert Miguel Presents.

Having gained a rabid following throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, Secret Of Boris is currently touring surrounding cities and states throughout the southwest, increasing their army of loyal fans. On their way to world domination, Secret Of Boris has shared the stage with Black Light Burns, Hed(pe), F5, Underoath, Ugly Mustard, Fair To Midland, Anberlin, God Forbid, Boondox, and Hopesfall. Joining Rockett Queen and Secret Of Boris on the “Rock Out Hunger 2” Concert bill will be This Day Forth from Longview, Texas. Named “one of the forefront bands on the scene in East Texas,” by Sean Patrick, 96.1 The Rock of East Texas, with captivating tunes and piercing lyrics, this band will not soon be forgotten.

This Day Forth has shared the stage with the following bands: Buckcherry, Drowning Pool, Nothing More, Bobaflex, The Veer Union, Powerman 5000, My Darkest Days, Flaw, Janus, Adema, Earshot, Rev Theory, Earshot, Veins Of Jenna, Dax Riggs, Girl On Fire, Scare Don’t Fear, Eyes Set To Kill, Sean Danielsen (of Smile Empty Soul). Joining Rockett Queen, Secret Of Boris, and This Day Forth on the bill of the “Rock Out Hunger 2” concert will be Bibeau. Pronounced “b ih b OH,” “be-bow,” “bi:bo,” “bebo,” the band decided to use their family last name after Van Halen (brothers on drums and guitar) and have worked hard for the past five years to develop a large following via performance videos on YouTube, ReverbNation and Facebook. Recently, Bibeau stayed ahead of the proverbial curve by launching a new Bibeau App for the iTunes and Google Play marketplaces, available for free on each platform.

Bibeau can be best described as a musical bridge between the classic power metal from the ’70s and ’80s combined with the edge and attitude of today’s modern metal. Hailing from Texas, Bibeau draws inspiration from everything from Rush to Avenged Sevenfold, Pantera to Dream Theater, Opeth to Mastodon, Metallica to Iron Maiden. Having said that, Bibeau manages to sound unlike anyone else around, mature, driven and poised for success with a purpose beyond their age range.

Bibeau have been hailed as “Metal’s New Breed” and have wowed audiences with their skill, advanced technical abilities (at such a young age) coupled with their intense delivery and the sheer strength of their original material. With their new spin on power metal, Bibeau is most certainly pushing the boundaries of music. Bibeau have written several original songs and developed a massive stage production to take on the road to support their forthcoming debut effort later this year. Forged with a firm grasp of the lineage, spirit, and history of the music they adore, Bibeau is comprised of vocalist Josh Hardin, guitarists Robin Bibeau and Garrett Hudgins, bassist Chris Smith, and drummer Peyton Bibeau. The best is yet to come.
