-Tad Morose Premiere “Your Own Demise” Video Via Metal Underground

NEW YORK CITY — Swedish metal veterans Tad Morose have unleashed the second video for the track “Your Own Demise,” from their upcoming album, ST. DEMONIUS, premiering the clip via Metal Underground. The video can be viewed here:

Directed and filmed by Richard Harryson and edited by ProVid Films, “Your Own Demise” was shot at the Trash Mansion in Bolinas, Sweden.

“‘Your Own Demise” was filmed at the Trash Mansion in Bollnäs,” says Tad Morose main man, Christer “Krunt” Andersson. “It was originally supposed to be recorded at another location with some grand ideas by the director, but although we live in an era with numerous communication tools everything got real messed up and I don’t think anyone really knew what was going on, haha.” He concludes, “Anyway, we picked up the pieces and completed the video in the end — just before the deadline. Pretty chaotic to say the least! Yes, we know it is another ‘performance video’ with no fire breathing dragons, half naked girls, or fire. Nothing fancy at all really, just us performing. But that’s us. METAL! Play it LOUD!”

ST. DEMONIUS, the eighth release from Tad Morose, is set for release in late August via Despotz Records, their second album with the Swedish based upstart label. Recorded throughout March of this year at Claustrophobic Studios in Geffe, Sweden, the album was produced by the band themselves, mixed by singer Ronny Hemlin and Johan Lofberg, and mastered by Per Ryberg at Studio Soundcreation in Bolinas, Sweden.

-The Rods And Veronica Freeman To Perform At 2015 Dio Day In Cortland, New York

American ’80s heavy metal power trio The Rods featuring special guest vocalist Veronica Freeman “The V” (Benedictum) have announced their performance at the 2015 Dio Day to be held on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at the J.M. McDonald Sports Complex in Cortland, New York.

The Rods band members and The V have released the following statements on the joining of forces for this special show:

(Guitarist David “Rock” Feinstein) – After Ronnie’s untimely passing in 2010, the city of Cortland, in honor of Ronnie, decided to make July 10th, officially DIO DAY. Every year around that time, we celebrate and honor the man that gave us so much good music and inspiration. His talent as a singer, musician, song writer, and producer were unparalleled. The Ronnie James Dio Music Scholarship Fund was started in 2010 and every year a $1,000.00 scholarship is given to a student that is pursuing a career in music. This year our fund raising concert will be held on June 20th, at the J.M. McDonald Sports Complex in Cortland, N.Y. Any donations to this worthy cause are accepted by check or money order, and can be mailed to: The Ronnie James Dio Music Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 533, Cortland, N.Y. 13045 “Keep the Music Alive”

(Drummer / Producer Carl Canedy) – The Rods European shows, which included Veronica Freeman performing a Dio Tribute set, were a huge success. The US fans have been asking if she’d be performing with us in the US. The answer until just now has been “no.” Fortunately for us, and the fans, she’s shooting a video for her new CD, NOW OR NEVER, the following day in NYC which will allow her to perform. The Rods with Veronica performing a Tribute to Ronnie James Dio, at this Dio Day Concert, is truly special for each of us. We’re all proud to be a part of this Memorial Fund event in Ronnie’s name.

(Bassist Garry Bordonaro) – I’m really happy that Veronica is going to be able to perform at our Dio Day show. She is a perfect fit for this celebration, and I think the fans are going to love her!

(Vocalist Veronica Freeman “The V” – Benedictum) – Sure had a blast in Europe with these crazy guys and it was a wish in the back of my head to be able to do Dio Day. Now, it is a reality…! Let’s roll!!

-Enertia To Release First New Album In A Decade!

Following up on the success of their Divebomb Bootcamp Series re-release last year, entitled VICTIM OF THOUGHT, Enertia returns with their fifth album and first of new material in a decade. PIECE OF THE FACTORY (DIVE083), will be released via Divebomb Records on July 17, 2015.

After working practically non-stop for 11 years, which included rehearsing two to three times a week, 800+ shows in 20+ states, and well over 10,000 CDs sold on six continents, upstate New York pure American Metal band Enertia was at a crossroads. After spending in excess of $25k recording their fourth album, FORCE, with producer Neil Kernon, the band had finally exhausted their bank account and didn’t have the money or resources to properly record their fifth album. It was time for Enertia to regroup.

Fast forward to 2007, after three productive years laying the groundwork for what would become their much anticipated new album, everything had almost disastrously ground to a halt — that is, until bassist Joe Paciolla made up his mind that these recordings had to be completed no matter the cost. In 2011, the band fortuitously happened upon a great studio and in it the remarkable engineer/producer Tim Lynch who was enlisted to help guide Enertia through the completion of the album.

Three additional years of hard work and several hundred hours were spent at The Recording Company in Esperance, NY, where Enertia created the most diverse, infectious, and prolific album of the band’s lengthy career, PIECE OF THE FACTORY.

Enertia is now almost two decades in from the release of their debut EP, LAW OF THREE, and after years of hard work and perseverance it would seem this could their end up being their swan song. Could PIECE OF THE FACTORY be Enertia’s farewell, only time will tell, but delivering the fans an album this powerful indicates they most definitely plan on going out with the biggest bang of their nearly 20-year career.

For Fans Of: Flotsam And Jetsam, Heretic, Testament, Metal Church

Track List:
1. Do It Again
2. Demons Of Silence
3. The Hardest Sorrow
4. Piece Of The Factory
5. Beside You, Beside Me
6. An Old Fashioned Beating
7. Hard To Follow
8. Prisoner
9. Can’t Breathe
10. Letting Go

Leaves’ Eyes: Artwork And Title Of Upcoming Album revealed! Get Ready For KING OF KINGS!

Hafrsfjord, Norway’s west-coast. A.D. 873. Did you hear what happened?

Leaves’ Eyes vocalist Liv Kristine:

“Harald Hårfagre (c.850-932), remembered by medieval historians as the first king of Norway. The battle of Hafrsfjord is described in the Saga of Harald Hårfagre (Harald Fairhair) in Snorri’s Heimskringla. Harald defeated several petty kings and the battle is considered decisive in the unification of Norway. The seabed in Hafrsfjord hides many secrets and many traces. Moreover, Hafrsfjord is my birthplace. With our upcoming album we would like to take you on a journey through a highly interesting chapter in Scandinavia’s history.

“Those of you who were present at our latest concerts surely noticed that there’s one new song on our set list, ‘Halvdan The Black’ — one chapter of the upcoming album KING OF KINGS! Halvdanr Svarte (c.810-860) was a ninth-century king of Vestfold, Norway. He belonged to the House of Yngling (son of Odin’s line) and was the father of Harald Fairhair. ‘Halvdan The Black’ is just the start of an amazing adventure!

“This production is one unique soundtrack — a brilliant and impressive auditive experience. The album was recorded in Germany, Norway, England, Netherlands, Belarus, and Switzerland. KING OF KINGS is produced by Alexander Krull at Mastersound Studio. Outstanding musical colleagues and ensembles have contributed with their guest appearances like the London Voices Choir (‘Lord Of The Rings,’ ‘Star Wars,’ ‘The Hobbit,’ ‘Harry Potter’).

“The fantastic artwork is done by Stefan Heilemann (Lindemann, Nightwish, Epica, Kamelot).

“Dear Fans & Friends — get ready for KING OF KINGS — out September 2015!

“Stay tuned for more news!

“Vancouver thrash/doom metal act unleashes a monster with its third album. Tightly woven tunes are delivered with blistering power, channeling the best of their influences, which range from early era thrash (Metallica, Exodus, Judas Priest) to modern day grind and prog metal (Mastodon). If 2012’s LIFE APOCALYPSE was about confronting your demons, CHASING THE DEVIL is about grabbing the beast by the horns. Highlight tracks: ‘No Kingdom,’ ‘The Grind'” – Vancouver Sun

“Titans Eve are one of the best bands to come out of my home town, Vancouver!” – Michael Livan – The Metal Meltdown – CJSF 90.1 FM

“On its third full-length release, CHASING THE DEVIL, the band, consisting of brothers Brian (guitar, vocals) and Kyle Gamblin (guitar), Jesse Hord (bass) and Casey Ory (drums), continues its unique brand of modern metal. Combining ’80s thrash-isms, modern metal passages, touches of NWOBHM, and generous amounts of Thin Lizzy/Iron Maiden-inspired harmonized guitar leads, Titans Eve cull these elements together with a vibrant approach. CHASING THE DEVIL’s eight tracks are compact and concise, decorated with huge, chantable choruses.” – Bravewords

“Titans Eve have conquered their local scene convincingly, and have put their boots into thicker mud, venturing across their native Canada. Touring with bigger names, in support fashion, hungry to belong in the next level. CHASING THE DEVIL will be a sharp weapon to help them carve up the competition. Shepherd Says – 8/10 – Hey, I put them side by side with the giant and it felt like they weathered that barrage. Titans Eve is earning their way up the ladder.” – We Love Metal

“…they’ve certainly stepped it up on their forthcoming album. The band’s concept is good, as they blend equal portions of thrash from bands such as Annihilator and Exodus with the progressive stoner groove of Mastodon and Meshuggah… Each element of the band works in unison as classic melodies and solos are placed side-by-side with meaty chugging and gravely outer-space vocals.” – Flink.TO

“They blend classic heavy, power, and thrash metal with a dose of modern intensity, yet temper it with melody harmony for persuasive, interesting, and entertaining results. Recommended.” – Danger Dog Music Reviews

“CHASING THE DEVIL presents us a modern thrash template that can be as melodic as it is ferocious.” – Dead Rhetoric

“This is the third full-length album of the band and I wonder why they have not been signed by any label. Coming from Vancouver, Canada, these guys forged a very interesting and unique form of thrash metal with modern elements here and there, and high doses of technique at instrumentation.” – Zombie Ritual Zine

“CHASING THE DEVIL’s 8 tracks stick to a ferocious mid paced thrash sound, with a touch of modern metal. The dual guitar team displays not just tasty riffs but intertwining dual harmonies, which sometimes call the mighty Iron Maiden to mind, as well as settling into a deep comfortable groove when called for. Add in the down low and percussion and you’ve got one hell of a sound.” – True Metal Lives

“This is my third time reviewing a Titans Eve release and once again I’m not disappointed.” – Metal France

Brian Gamblin – Lead Vocals / Guitar
Kyle Gamblin – Vocals / Guitar
Jesse Hord – Bass / Backing Vocals

*** PRESS RELEASE #13 ***
-SayWeCanFly Talks 2015 Vans Warped Tour

TORONTO — Braden Barrie will add the 2015 Vans Warped Tour to his musical project SayWeCanFly’s long list of accomplishments, as he joins the summer massive music festival this week.

“Playing the entire Vans Warped Tour has been a goal of mine for many years,” said Barrie. “It’s something I’ve kept in my mind almost every day since I knew it existed, so it’s incredible to know it’s about to become a reality and an accomplishment.”

Barrie, who has played a couple one-off Vans Warped Tour dates in the past, will appear every day in the Acoustic Basement Tent.

“I’m really stoked because everything is so intimate and I can literally have face-to-conversations with the kids during my set,” Barrie said. “I think everyone will enjoy the closeness. It will be fun for me to work my butt off to pack as many people into the tent as possible too. My goal is to fill it to capacity every day — and then some.”

Barrie has been supporting his debut full-length, BETWEEN THE ROSES, with headline and support dates across the country and overseas since its release earlier this year. The album, which received a Deluxe Edition release via Barrie’s own PureWolf just in time for the tour, debuted at # 14 on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart and #5 on iTunes singer/songwriter chart. Additionally, SayWeCanFly became a featured artist on MTVHits’ “Fresh Faces” and won MTVU’s “The Freshmen” competition with the first single, “Song Of The Sparrow.”

At just 20 years old, Barrie offers a remarkable maturity, expressing raw feelings and offering a sense of hope, inspiration and understanding that fans of all ages can relate to. Much of SayWeCanFly’s early success can be attributed to Barrie’s strong social media presence and deep connection with his fans.

“I think what I will remember most about my first full Warped Tour is knowing the reason I was offered the tour in the first place is because so many kids requested that I be there,” Barrie said. “That in itself makes every moment worth it. For me, personally, it’s a chance to hang out with the people who have helped push SayWeCanFly to where it is now, and understand the heartbreak I write about. It feels like such a family, even though there are so many different elements to it. I have so much respect for Kevin Lyman along with everyone else involved for keeping it running so successfully for so many years.”

With set times varying daily, Barrie has come up with a unique way to let fans know when to check out SayWeCanFly’s set. “Fans can swing by the SayWeCanFly merch tent early in the day and pick up a few flyers with my set time listed on it to hand out or post around the venue,” he said. “In return, they will be offered a free piece of merchandise. I thought that would be a cool way to get people involved and spread daily awareness.”

Always accessible to fans, Barrie will be doing meet and greets a minimum of once a day and will also teach a class on being an independent artist for the Entertainment Institute. “I’m stoked about this because it gives kids a chance to have some one-on-one time and ask any questions they may have about the business side of things, which is something I’ve always paid close attention to as I’ve worked on building this project,” said Barrie.

There also plans to shoot select dates for an innovative music video involving SayWeCanFly’s fans singing along with Barrie.

“I really want to maximize the opportunity I have to make as many people a part of my experience this summer as possible, and capture the realness of it all. I’m most looking forward to making new friends and meeting so many of my social media followers in person. I think we already feel very close to each other because I spend so much time on social media making sure we are always connected.”

-The Seattle thrash band Fallen Angels — Bradzilla on vocals, Erik Hanson and Matt Be Roth on guitars, Carl Larsson on bass, and Steve Spitzbart on drums — is premiering the track “Nightmare” through BraveWords.com at http://bravewords.com/news/fallen-angels-nightmare-song-produced-by-michael-rosen-streaming . The track comes from the band’s upcoming third album, WORLD IN DECAY, which was produced by Grammy-winning Michael Rosen (Forbidden, Testament, Death Angel, Flotsam And Jetsam, Tesla, Vicious Rumors) and is due out August 4 on Cyberdyne Records. Track list: “The Hammer’s Blow,” “Nightmare,” “Forsaken Existence,” “Leading The Blind,” “Fire At Eden’s Gate,” “Into The Abyss,” “The Hour Of The Time,” “Mortis Ex Machina.” Hype: “Capturing the classic thrash sound of the Big Four in their prime; early Metallica, Testament, Slayer, and Megadeth as well as lesser-known cult heroes Exodus, Annihilator, Forbidden, and Havok. Fallen Angels is influenced by a wide range of ’80s thrash as well as classic metal from the ’70s and ’80s. The band combines these elements in a fresh, modern-sounding album with the explosive riffs and solos that one might have expected to hear on the radio around 1989. Fallen Angels is a band that thrash fans and more classic metal-oriented fans can agree on because the music is catchy but also very aggressive.” See http://www.fallenangelsthrashband.com/ for more.

The video and song feature guest backing vocals from Rob Corpse Eater, “from the legendary Western Canadian grind act Bob & Rob’s Corpse Eating Service.” Hype on the video: “With lots of imagery that includes a goat skull belly dancer waving flaming swords in a lake, bloody walls in an abandoned house, a demonic horned princess, authentic 120-year-old surgical tools, third-degree burns, plus lots of bleeding faces and mouths.
